ENTRY GUIDELINES

Rules and Conditions of Entry

  • Entry must be submitted through the Institute’s 2023 Awards for Excellence Portal.
  • Each individual entry must be accompanied by the entry fee upon submission.
  • Entry fee of $770 (including GST) must be paid for each entry submission. Fees are to be paid in full by the closing date.
  • Entry submissions must be finalised by 31 March 2023 (NOTE - this has been extended until COB 14 April 2023).
  • Entry must reach substantial completion within 1 July 2021 and 30 June 2023.
  • Each entry must submit a 250-word summary focused on how excellence in concrete is demonstrated or how the entry significantly contributes to the advancement of application, knowledge and understanding in concrete. NOTE – This information will be published as entered for judging, promotion and programs.
  • Each entry must be supported with a minimum of five high quality photographs (maximum 10). These will be used for judging, promotion, presentations and programs.
  • Each of the specific judging criteria shown on the entry form should focus on the concrete aspects of the entry (aspects not related to the use of concrete will not be considered in judging).
  • Entries submitted for previous Institute Awards programs may not be simply resubmitted. However, where a previous entry has been further developed (such as a new stage of a project or a new version of technology) it may be submitted.
  • Entrants must agree for information submitted to be used for posters, slides, booklet, CIA magazine, social media channels, and international journals/societies.
  • The Institute has sole discretion as to whether an entry complies and reserves the right to refuse an entry or move it to its most relevant category.
